Live Show with Paul Holes and Small Town Dicks

On November 4th 2018, the team of Small Town Dicks appeared in their first ever live show at the Death Becomes Us true crime festival. While Detectives Dan and Dave remained concealed off-stage on mics, Yeardley and Zibby sat down with investigator Paul Holes to interview him on his 24 yearlong investigation into the Golden State Killer case. The Golden State Killer was one of the most prolific predators in U.S. history. He was a serial killer, rapist, and burglar who committed at least 13 murders, more than 50 rapes, and over 100 burglaries in California from 1974 to 1986. This is a recording of that live show which was produced by D.C.’s Brightest Young Things and held at the Lisner Auditorium in Washington D.C.

No Good Deed

On a routine visit to check on his elderly father, Murray, Paul discovers him laying in his bed. Dead. Murray had a history of falling, so it’s possible his death was an accident. But the unusual position of Murray’s body on the bed prompts Paul to call 9-1-1. Fan-favorite, Lt. Scott, returns to Small Town Dicks with a case about a string of bad decisions that lead to the deepest form of betrayal. All for the price of some marijuana and donuts.

Wolf

Joseph and Valerie head out of town for a weekend getaway, leaving their two children – ages 9 and 7 – in the care of a close family member. But just a half hour after leaving town, Valerie realizes they forgot something at the house. They decide to turn around and go back for it. It’s then that Joseph walks in the front door and comes face-to-face with a parent’s worst nightmare

45 Seconds

Molly was a senior in high school. Trevor was her slightly-older boyfriend who’d already graduated. While Molly was well-liked and social, Trevor was more of a loner and could be possessive. It was the source of their on-again-off-again relationship. One night, as the two walked home from a party thrown by several of Molly’s friends, a car full of passersby placed a frantic 9-1-1 call to police, then found themselves rendering aid to Molly as she lay bleeding on the sidewalk.
